We had Chef Xylina come to our vacation home to do a seafood boil. The food was delicious and plentiful. The seafood boil had crawfish, shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn. She cooked, set the table and cleaned up everything when we finished eating. She even brought cute decorations. Xylina is super friendly and we had such a great time.

In preparation for a surprise birthday dinner, Xylina, owner of Island Personal Chef, LLC, was very easy to work with on-line. We selected a surf and turf dinner. When I added appetizers after the menu had been selected, she accommodated that request perfectly to complement the meal. Have I mentioned that the surf and turf were both excellent? Excellent. In addition, one of the meals had to be totally gluten free, not a problem for Xylina. There was not a clean plate taken off the table. The other wonderful thing about Xylina was her ability to negotiate working in a house with 11 adults and 3 children under the age of 6. Working with X was a pleasure and I would highly recommend her.

About Chef Xylina


Xylina Green, is a Personal Chef and Caterer. She graduated The Art Institute of Atlanta, Culinary Arts School in 2014. She went on to work in several Atlanta area kitchens until moving back home and eventually opening Island Personal Chefs LLC in 2018. 
Xylina served as a Master at Arms in the Navy Reserves, developing leadership, planning and problem solving skills during her 11 yr service.  Xylina, separated from the military in 2020 to focus on developing her catering business.Xylina, gained attention from the local Chaine des Rotisseurs, president Dr. Rawson Griffin and she has been preparing coursed dinners for the group over a year. She recently was presented with the honor of joining this prestigious wine and food society as a professional chef-she will be formally inducted December 9, 2021.  Xylina also has an additional special interest in non profit organizations as she created Island Sisters Incorporated-last year. She created this non profit to help mentor our local girls and young women, it is still in its developing stages.
